Florida in the Year 2000

In 2000, Sean and Dennis Flannery run the Radical Party's offices in Tampa, Florida. They except it will be just another campaign. The two Flannery men have done this many times before, and to them, it's just mindless routine. Meg, Sean's daughter and Dennis' twin sister, is missing -- they do not know where she is, and they wonder if they will ever see her again.

And then one morning, Meg returns, without warning and with no indication as to where she's been. Sean and Dennis are just glad to have her back on the campaign trail. They don't ask any questions.

Election Day -- Day 1 -- comes and goes. By Day 2, it is clear that this campaign is not like all the rest. On Day 2, Vice President Andrew Green concedes, and then unconcedes, the election to Governor Jack Markham, Jr. There will be a Day 3, and a Day 4, and a Day 5, as Florida counts and recounts votes. And from then, the true madness will commence.
