Steven L. Stites, Esq. is an attorney and retired political consultant.
From 2007 to 2014, Steve worked in politics, primarily serving as a spokesman and consultant for New York political campaigns. 37 Days was inspired by some of the many eccentirc characters he met while working in New York politics.
Before entering politics, Steve worked as a journalist and comedy writer. He had bylines in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and BostonNOW, among other newspapers. He served as editor-in-chief of the Times New Roman comedy magazine and cofounded a popular web comic.
Steve's creative interests are wide-ranging. He has written another book about New York politics, Code Name Bleep. He also writes poetry, palindromes, a burgeoning sitcom called Outer Boroughs, and a comedic play about the trial of Saddam Hussein.
Today, Steve runs Stites Law LLP, a full-service traffic defense law firm based in New York City. He lives in Westfield, New Jersey and enjoys whiskey, nature documentaries, and the Dallas Mavericks.
